The Whitewater Kayaking Lessons Package offers high-quality instruction, a supportive community, and lifetime coaching to master whitewater kayaking at your own pace. It includes free kayak and gear rentals, practice time, and a lifetime of coaching. The methodical progression has evolved from thousands of hours of teaching beginners to appreciate proper technique. Students must be punctual, prepared, and on time for participation.

BEGINNER WHITEWATER
Whitewater 101: FUNdamentals & Rolling Skills
Gain confidence and learn faster by participating in a quality orientation and developing flatwater skills. This fun-filled, four-hour whitewater fundamentals lesson with friendly instructors focuses on equipment fit, boat selection, basic paddling techniques, underwater comfort, and kayak control. This is the perfect introductory whitewater kayaking experience!

Beginner Whitewater Kayaking Lesson Package
Get started whitewater kayaking with this series of four half-day lessons plus free practice sessions—no equipment needed. The Whitewater Kayaking Lessons Package offers high-quality instruction, a supportive community, and lifetime coaching to master whitewater kayaking at your own pace!

Paddle With a Pro: Mason Hargrove Whitewater Clinics
Join world champion Mason Hargrove and Kayak DC! for a series of three special whitewater clinics this fall in Potomac, MD. Clinic sessions will cover dedicated topics ranging from half slicing, playboating, to rolling. There’s something for everyone of all levels in this mix and you won’t want to miss this chance to advance your skills with the best!

Indoor Pool Rolling Sessions
Are you an experienced kayaker just looking for some indoor pool time and perhaps a new paddling buddy? Or are you a beginner wanting to finally get that roll down in a comfortable, warm environment? Our Bombproof Rolling Package (4 Sessions) gives you four 2-hour sessions (total of 8 hours) of pool time over the winter, plus quality instruction in our awesome 300? heated pool!
BEGINNER WHITEWATER
Indoor/Outdoor Package
Start off with two indoor pool sessions where you’ll learn the FUNdamentals, then move it outdoors to the river to progress your skills further. This is a great option for getting a head start in the winter months, and then being ready to go have fun outdoors when the weather warms up in the spring!
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED WHITEWATER
Polar Training
Are you not about to let a little cold water keep you from having a good time? Well, us neither! If you’ve completed our beginner whitewater course, then join us for our polar training sessions in January, February and March!

Private Instruction
Private lessons are ideal for those with schedule constraints or those seeking concentrated instruction. Our experienced instructors analyze technique and help master skills, focusing on fundamentals, advanced strokes, moves, surfing, and more. These lessons are available on weekdays and are designed to enhance group instruction, not replace it.

Can I just sign up for a single tour or do I have to purchase the complete package?
Yes! The package is a better value if you were to do all of the trips, but you can sign up for a single tour, if desired. Just go to our registration page and you can purchase a single trip.
Do I have to do the trips in any specific order?
No! You can do any trip at any time—no specific order required! : )
Is there a time limit, or can I do all five trips in a sprint?
Yes! You can do all five trips as quickly as you’d like. Alternately, if you’d like to stretch them out, you can take up to two years to complete them all. We’re flexible and it’s up to you!
